I've had a cheapy Medion 19" TFT for years. I'm upgrading to a 22" Widescreen and am now on my second monitor.
The issue I'm having is the evenness of the brightness/contrast from top to bottom of the screen. Both the Samsung and now the Cibox I've tried are noticably brighter at the bottom of the screen. I'm not talking bleed.. I'm talking about the backlight angle.
When looking at the centre of the screen, a magenta screen is light pink at the bottom and dark red at the top.
It's not a massive difference but quite noticable when viewing photos especially, and moreso because the old Medion 19" didn't have this problem.
I returned the Samsung cos I thought it was a backlight fault, but the Cibox is the same. Is this the norm now? (cheaper screens?) Is it something you just have to put up with on a modern monitor?
