Hitachi 46F500 zoom problem

I just got this TV from a friend and the picture from the cable shows bigger than the screen. When I play a DVD, the picture is great, but hooked up to my basic cable (no box, just wall cable connection) the images seem to be magnified.

I was told I need to disable the extra zoom feature to get normal picture. This makes sense, but I looked into the menu and wasn't able to find this option. How do I disable this feature???

BTW, I am using a universal remote, my friend doesn't have the original, and there's no button for zoom.
