Hi guys !! I am interested in buying a laptop (ASUS N70SV-X1 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 834220529), which has 4GB of RAM, and comes with a 64-bit version of Vista. My problem is that I want to use 32-bit Vista on it, since more programs are compatible with the 32-bit version. So is this possble ? Can a 32-bit OS be used on this Laptop ? If yes, would there be any cons in doing this ?

Thanks in advance for all the help :)

A 32 bit OS will run just fine it will just not see all your RAM. my dual core laptop has 4GB of RAM and a 32 bit OS most it sees is 2301 (after 256MB graphics share)

1) Yes it will work fine
2) You just won't be able to take advantage of all 4gb of RAM. The OS uses a small portion of that RAM for things like your graphics card and such (even if it's dedicated). You will probably see around 3.25gb or so of your rated 4.
