my wife won a 19" LCD 720p HD TV at a christmas party. i am using it as my new computer monitor, is this a problem? if so what are the problems of doing this, and if not what are the advantages?

it has a HDMI input and my computer has a DVI output on the videocard, will i notice a diff. if i get a cable to use that combo rather than using the current VGA input

I use the same T.V. for my monitor as well through the VGA. I have had no problems with it and I have a crappy Acer 3680-2682 laptop and have watched a 720p movie on it with no drag. So in my opinion that's a fine setup, but, remember the T.V. only handles 720p so any way u hook it up it still will only handle 720p.
