My first post here. I've got a couple of problems with my new monitor and thought - if tomshardware can't help me who can?
Firstly, I've got the known compatibility problem with the dedicated software (Magictune) and my GF8800GTX (163.75 Drivers). So I am struggling to calibrate the monitor to my liking with regards to contrast and saturation etc.
My main problem apart from the above is, as I sit perpendicular to the centre of the monitor screen there is a distinct difference to how a certain colour shows up in the top half of the screen compared to the bottom half of the screen. If I take an image and place it below the centre of the screen the image looks washed out and pale, if I move the image up into the top half of the screen it looks very oversaturated.
Now, to a degree I noticed this same thing with my old Benq monitor but it was very very slight. No doubt there is a technical term and reason for it. I'm just not aware of it.
When I am playing games it is unnoticeable but if I look at a full screen image (top to bottom) it sticks out like a sore thumb.
Sent an email to Samsung yesterday, not heard back yet.
Can any of you guys make any suggestions? is there something wrong with the monitor or is it just a symptom of the software incompatibility issue with the GF8800GTX?
