Looking at the pics from newegg there seem to be two different z5500 speaker models. 1 model uses RCA cables from the speakers to the sub,

The other uses standard speaker wire.

I just wanna know if anyone has purchased these recently and what type of speaker wire it came with. I'm really only interested in these if they come in standard speaker wire.

I got these ages ago and they came with normal speaker cable. Pretty sure the photo with the rca cable is the wrong photo cos when you look at the closup of the back of the sub its normal speaker cable connections as well as the closeup of the rear of speakers.

these with fixed cables were initial version which was quickly replaced with normal connections. there is no way that you will get speakers with fixed cables these days.

just to satisfy anyone curiosity I got these from dell, and they came with standard speaker wire. They rock.
