Alright, so I've been having discussions with friends and family.. I have worked at multiple computer repair shops for around 10-12 dollars an hour. For every computer i worked on I was charging at least 125 dollars per computer.. What are the main reasons not to start my own shop? What would be the overhead, issues and so on i would be dealing with to make my business successful?

I live in Naples FL, plenty of people have money here, i just don't feel working out of the home is a way i can make a business thrive..

Repairing computers is a tough business...so I heard.

Charge by the job, not by the hour. check out competition. What do they lack? Also, provide the customer with a reason why you are qualified to operate on their unit. Get a basic certificate like an A+.
