My moms boss gave me his computer to fix a couple days ago, he has an HP Pavillion a1000n, the problem with it is that it gets stuck on the blue HP bootscreen, and nothing works. When I first plugged it in it worked fine, the after I restarted, it got stuck. I've cleared the CMOS, it booted, then when I restarted, the problem began again, I tried booting it from my computers hard drive, it still got stuck. What is going on here, and how can it be fixed?
There is a problem with the hard drive.
Maybe it has a bad sector at the bootable area.
Try using chkdsk.exe "checkdisk".
It is easy to repair that kind of problem.
