Acer Aspire One Linux Version

I set a user password and a BIOS password for my new netbook while in BIOS... the user passwor donly worked when I booted it up and it asked for the current password.. However in the OS when trying to wake it form the screen saver it would accpt my password and I think it was because it was too short.. So i went back to BIOS and reset the password to the minimum of 6 characters and upon retset ti does nto accept my new password. Perhaps i mistyped but not likley since it ask for it two times. However the end result is I am locked out... Does any one know what to do??? Help!
