Samsung SM206BW trouble, ideas needed!

I've just put together a new system, but after about half an hour the monitor kept cutting out (losing power not signal) for a few minutes before coming back on again. This lasted for about half an hour and now the thing is dead, I just can't get it to turn on. I want to make absolutley sure that it's dead before I post it back, so if anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it. All I have been able to do so far is try it in a few different sockets.
