I am running Windows XP Professional and connect to internet with dialup 56k
modem. I also have wired Ethernet between 2 PC's to share files and the
dial up Internet connection. The Internet connection is shared using ICS.

I used the Network setup Wizard to setup file sharing and shared internet
connection. I use a local ISP for Internet access so when I setup my
internet connection I always dial manually.

If I select to dial automatically and save that option when a program needs
the internet connection, or if I lose the connection for some reason and it
try's to redial I end up with 2 windows trying to dial the connection. One
says Network Connection, and the other is the prompt from Internet Explorer
to go ahead and dial the connection.

It seems that there should be a way to stop this conflict with 2 dialers
trying to connect at the same time?

Do I need to uninstall ICS and recreate a new dial up connection and then
reinstall? It seems that I have always had this problem no matter what I
have tried so unless I know for sure it is ICS I don't want to take a chance
on screwing up ICS since it seems to be working fine. It just seems that
Internet Explorer is conflicting with the network setup.

If anyone could help with this I really would appreciate it.
