Please help me with my headset!

Hi, I just purchased a pair of tritton AX360s ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] &Tpk=ax360 ) for gaming on my xbox 360, ps3, and PC. After about 5 hours of fiddling I FINALLY got to work it on my ps3 (havent even tried with 360 or PC yet, but it shouldnt be hard), but with 2 big problems.

1) The mic just wont work. It looks perfectly fine, but when I talk on ps3 games, nobody can hear me. I can hear them just fine. So, whats with it? Is the mic not compatible with ps3, because when I went to the mic settings, it pretended like I had nothing plugged in. If it really isnt compatible, what should I do/get?

2) The vibration doesent work. Supposedly, this headset vibrates. Also, the vibration and bass is stupidly connected, so if I want high bass, I need to have it shake like crazy. But I turned up vibration all the way to max, and I dont feel anything or get any bass at all.

So yea, I just finally was able to set up online on my consoles, and it really sucks to not be able to talk. So please help me!
