Hello,
why my hp a1600n will not power up

If the unit appears dead -- no beeps, fans or indicator lights -- it's either the power supply or the motherboard.

If the fans come on but nothing else can be the motherboard, processor or memory.

Sounds like a visit to the repair man or dealer.
