I want to get into some WWII mini wargaming. I would like a rule set
that uses the common sized models. The size you can buy at model
stores for cheap. About 2 inches or so? Any advice?

I guess you mean the 1/72nd scale ones?

I have generally found the most WW2 rules will work with most scales of
figures & vehicles, it really doesn't matter very much unless they have some
especially prescriptive basing scheme.

There are a number of simple and free wargames rules at:

www.freewargamesrules.co.uk

which cover a range of approaches to WW2 gaming, and many of them are quite
suitable for 1/72nd scale stuff.

Cheers
Martin
