machine locked during bios upgrade it will not turn on at all. the battery was new and the laptop was plugged into an AC outlet during the bios flash procedure and no other applications were running.

what are my alternatives at this point.

worked fine before no problems

Your BIOS is corrupted. The easiest (but most expensive) route to go is to replace the motherboard. Some BIOSs have the ability to be recovered with certain procedures, but it depends on the manufacturer. Take your notebook apart and see who made the BIOS (or look it up online, you may be able to find out that way).
