Is this Samsung 2253BW newer than the 226BW model?

There arent any reviews for it anywhere and im thinking about picking it up.

Anyone have it or used it before?

per Samsung's site .. the 2253 is a lower model..
they are listed in order of quality (or so it seems..)

and the 2253 is a few models under the 226

I really just need to know if the scaling is the same or better as the 226. I went out and payed a crazy ass amount for the best HDTV possible from samsung. Hooked it up to my 360 with HDMI, spent 3 weeks perfecting the settings.... then I go over to my brother's where he has the 226 hooked up with vga and it is by far a better image quality. I don't get it, how is it a 22 in monitor can be so much better than a 23 inch hdtv for half the price? I know built in speakers and the tv tuner don't add 400 dollars. Makes me think the entire hdtv market is being hugely artificially inflated.

LCD TV's are slower with 8ms response time i think and probably lower qual features not suitable for gaming anyway...

I just bought the 2253BW LCD today. Paid $298 AUS from MSY. Started looking around for reviews out of curiousity and stumbled apon this thread.

Apart from a slight amount of bleeding at the top and bottom of the screen it's pretty fantastic. The only time you really notice it is when the background is completely black. Otherwise it's completely invisible.

Played some games, watched some TV (with a DVT tuner) and watched a few vids without any problems at all. I have it alongside my Fujitsu 19" WS LCD and it definately looks better.

If anyone has any questions about it ask away.
