I have a samsung 940BX and i normally use it to game and do some homework on. I've had it since september 2007 and i never had any problems with it. I never leave it on over night or when i'm not here. The thing is not abused at all.

I turned on the computer this morning and the monitor showed a black screen. I turned it off and turned it back on and it showed me my windows screen perfectly normal and then went black again. It's not going into standby, it wont let me access the monitors built in options while its in this black screen mode. I tried to connect the computer through analog and it lasted about 4-5 seconds before it went black and then it started to last only 1 sceond before it would turn black after i turned it on.

EDIT: I've managed to see something unusual. The monitor isn't going completely black, i can see the screen but its soooooo dark i can't make it out. i reset all the brightnesses and settings but nothing =/.
The system is a

nothings overclocked right now

Sounds like the inverter board needs to be replaced.
