Cannot print on HP PSC 1350 on win xp

After having several USB problems installing the drivers for my HP PSC 1350
All in one,
I finally succeeded in installing the driver and make the installer show the
green mark
for an ok driver installation (the mark had been a red cross before that).

The driver for the scanner installed just fine and there are no problems
using the scanner,
and the copy-function does also work, but I can't get the thing to print so
I figure
the driver for this function did not install completely. So I go and check
my system
and I turn to device manager and I see a yellow question mark when I stretch
the
printers-tree. Aha! No driver for this is installed that's the problem. But
I can't find
any driver for this function on the cd that came with the printer, nor can I
find
it on the web.

Does anyone have a driver for the printing function for the PSC 1350 for win
xp?

Yeah I'm using Windows XP and I have an AMD Athlon motherboard (my cpu is
a 1500+). I read somewhere that with my usb chipset which is a via I might
have
some compatibility issues to deal with when using PSC 1350. On the HP
support
site "it says it all", but after having updated my USB drivers it's all the
same.

There is still a yellow question mark when I stretch the printers tree in
device
manager....

Has anyone solved the printing problem with PSC 1350 using win xp and a
MB for AMD Athlon?

Any help is very much appreciated.
