I wonder what my memory's timings are set to but don't know how to figure it out.
How do I find the timings?
Is it possible to change timings on all memories (no matter who the manufacturer is)?
How do I change the timings?
What should I think of, if I decide to change these settings?
If you bought your rig from a big name vendor like Dell, Gateway, IBM, HP, eMachine, etc...
Then odds are most likely not good for tweaking performance...
If you bought a mobo from the manufacturer, most like yes...
You change timing in yuor BIOS...

Only with certain motherboards can you force the memory latency as Rich mentioned above.
The only other way would be to reprogram the memory itself. But you would need a specific type of hardware that is used for read/write of the SPD memory module chip.
