I have an ASUS P5kpl-VM motherboard whick has an integrated realtek audio device and for the life of me i can't get sound from the front pannel. The headphones/mics aren't even detected if they're on the front pannel. I've seen this workaround here http://www.lebokov21.com/2008/02/11/no-sound-from-front-audio-jack-with-jack-sensing/ but i don't have the advanced options folder, it's literally not there. I need help finding out some sort of workaround.
Thanks in Advance...
edit: i know it's not a connection issue and that the device isn't broken since i get sound just fine from the front pannel in linux.
