HOME THEATRE Audio

Using an SA-HT05 with a TH-50PZ80U tv (both panasonic) with a bell expressvu 9200 satellite receiver. Currently have the audio coming directly from the sat receiver to the HT05. Is there a better way? Manual is not too clear on hook up from a sat receiver. Can I take the audio from the sat receiver to the tv and then from the tv to the home theatre?
