( Sorry if this is on the wrong category: I wasn't sure what to put it under, if any mods see this please move it. )

I've had this shuttle xpc for a while, and it has been working nicely. Today I lifted the back up to check my model number for a friend, and when I was finished the sound was suddenly very low. Could I have partially unplugged something inside of the computer? This is getting a bit annoying.

Thanks in advance!

Make sure you have the speakers plugged into the correct port (usually green).

Check the device manager to see if there are any conflicts on your audio devices.

Check the master volume to make sure the volume is up.

Check the volume knob on the speakers to see if they are turned up.

OK, sorry for the late reply on this, haven't been able to get to a computer with internet access for a while.

I have solved this problem 'since then. Somehow, when I installed an old game I used to have, it messed up the sound and disabled "wave". I un-muted it, and now it works!
