Non-computer movie dvd player freezes

after an hour or so the movie dvd will freeze with he video paused on screen. This happens to all dvds so it is not one dirty/damaged dvd. These are store purchased dvd's/blockbuster rentals, netflicks, etc. Is this fixable?? Or is it time to buy a new DVD player?

Have you used a lens cleaner on the DVD drive yet? If not, try one of those.

Also, do the movies stop at nearly the same point? Or does a single movie always stop at the same point?

Have you tried CD's in it yet?
