Greetings :)

I was wondering does anyone has any experience with BENQ FP241W 24'' monitor. I'm thinking of buying this one, I will mostly use it for gaming and watching movies. I've been also thinking of hooking an Xbox360 on it. The only thing that's making me doubt my purchase is that 1:1 pixel ration. Does this monitor support it? I really don't want to look at stretchy images or something like that.

Also, would 8800 GTS SLI and 4gig ram with Intel Quad 6600 be enough for high/max settings on games on 1920 by 1200 resolution.

The BENQ FP241W has been discontinued so finding a place that sells it may be a little difficult.

As for 1:1 pixel mapping, only those with a January 2007 firmware or later will support it.

Yes, 8800GTS SLI will be more than enough to handle max / near max setting at 1920 x 1200. However, there will be exceptions like Crysis and Assassin's Creed (from what I've read).

Discontinued :( A shame, I mean I found one chain of store that has it one of the branches, but it's a "maybe" and I thought they'll get a new batch or something. Hm, could you recommend something. That also supports 1:1 PM :ange:

Be careful, BenQ has re-released the 241W as the T241W with a TN panel. This is NOT the same monitor.

BenQ is trying to clear their last inventory of FP241VW - the VN panel monitor - on thier own store. Anyone is interested in this monitor this might be the last chance to buy. The clearance price is $699 now.

hope this might help. Although the stock status is showing "no" this moment BenQ told me that they do have around 15 units on hand on Friday and they will change the stock status any minute to "yes" so please feel free to order from their estore if you don't want to miss this last chance. It's under the clearance section now.

There seems to be places selling this monitor in Australia and England (possibly Europe too).

But sadly for anyone in the US, there are no vendors selling it.

The only vendor selling FP241W is BenQ itself. BenQ is selling this model on it's own online store. Check this out. http://store.benq.us/benq-us/produ [...] ture=en-US
What I was told by BenQ is that these are the last stocks they have and once they are gone they are gone for good.
