Just read the color laser printer review. I've been using a Samsung CLP-500 for about a year and thought I'd through in my two cents.
It has become my primary printer. I really like the speed once it's warmed up and love the duplex (front and back) printing for saving paper. I set it to print both sides of a page by default, this really saves paper. I've done some serious digital photography work and I can say this printer will never produce a photo I would consider for resale. That said I do use it for proofs to get an idea of shadows and tones are close before is send an image to the photo printer. Cost is steep. I bought the printer when the CLP-500 was about $700 and about six months later plopped down $525 for toner since the supplied toner cartridges are not full capacity. But, I was aware this would happen and wasn't really put off. Cost per page is still way below what my photo-printer costs. All in all, It's great for an every-day printer. My biggest gripe is that it doesn't come with network support so I run it off an old PC on my home LAN which acts as a print server among other things. Based on the review here at Tom's Hardware Guide I think Samsung will have to add network support as standard to be competative.

What I've found weird with this printer, it's that Xerox have a similar product: Phaser 6100 and is cheaper than the samsung...!
