the problem is that the hp doesn't have sata controller on computer site and the xp also asks for a a: that the computer doesn´t have.....

any ideias? for what in see in the internet a lot of people has this problem but still can´t find the solution :sarcastic:

Is your HD SATA or IDE? Your controller should be set the same in the BIOS.

What is asking for the a: drive (floppy)?
^This usually can be disabled in the BIOS.

You'll need to either get a floppy drive and load the SATA drivers at the beginning of the windows install, or slipstream an install disc with the SATA drivers.
