Before anyone tells me to do research...trust me I have been looking for weeks!!!!

I am in need of a 24" (or so) LCD monitor for my home computer. I am sooooo confused as to what to get.

I am not a PC gamer but would not mind being able to play my xbox360 on the monitor. My main concern is being able to watch TV or movies on the monitor and have a good quality picture.

Can't say money is not an object but I am not going to spend $1000. I am looking to stay under $700.

Should I get a MVA panel of some sort? Would TN work? What kind of response time do I need???? I'M CONFUSED!!!!!

Someone please give me some recommendations about monitors out now (something easily had) that could suite my needs!!!

FYI...I am looking at the Dell 2408WFP, ViewSonic VX2435WM and Samsung 245T

Check BenQ FP241VW and compare it to Samsung and Dell you have on your list.

I saw the BenQ..TBH I was put off a little by the stand setup.

Is there something better about it compared to the others?

The Benq is probably the best, but the stand would be a pain if you wanted to run dual monitors.

Samsung's have input latency which is annoying for games, but would probably look the best for movies.

I'm not a fan of Viewsonic.

It's hard to go wrong with Dell. It won't be the best at anything but there won't be any glaring issues. Of the monitors you listed I'd get the Dell.

BTW if you want to spend exactly $700 you might look at this:

Hmmm...

I guess IPS LCDs are starting to come down in price. If it had height and swivel adjustments, it would probably make a nice secondary display next to my 26" NEC.
