The whole town and area has a great atmosphere for a wargamer and it
was with it being held there originally that attracted my attention to
the convention.

....I seemed to end up playing in more games at this years convention
than I usually do, so, subsequently I have more pictures of the games
that I was playing and fewer of the convention in general.

....In this game I played Suvorov, the Russian/Austrian commander
facing off against Napoleon.... Although the overall result was
deemed to be a draw, the highlight for the Austrian center was
repelling a major attack by Napoleon's consular guard! Oh yes, the
game was hosted by Bill Gray and we were using his Napoleonic Fire &
Fury varient rules, Age of Eagles.

....Saturday morning found me taking the role of a US Air Force bomber
flight commander, as we attacked the oil fields of Ploesti in Rumania
during WW2. [ S-22 "Ploesti - Low Level Attack #1" ] This was a game
that I was keen to play as I'm looking for a set of rules for the
1/300th scale aircraft to use with my "Battle of Britain" models.

....This was a large game over two tables, with the Italians facing of
against a strong USA force on one table, the other table pitched an
attacking British force against the Germans.... [ S-116 "Last Stand
in the Sand (Tunisia, 1943) ] Surprisingly the Italians held their own
against the US, helped in part by some misdirected air assaults from
the US Air Force that took out almost half of one of their own Sherman
tank platoons!... The game was hosted by Sam Mustafa and Phil Karecki
using the popular Flames of War rules.
