Removing jammed paper

Hp officejet k80xi the paper is jammed and i can't remove the bottom tray to get it out. how do i remove the bottom tray.

The panel should lift up just above the paper tray itself.

Lift it up, then unplug the unit from the wall (but don't turn it off with the power button). This will let you manually slide the carriage back into default position and allow you to clear out the paper jam.
