Hi,
I will be building a Raid-5 environment with 3x 300 GB SATA HDs (Hardware-Raid with LSI MegaRaid Card).
I would like to create one 600 GB Partition.
Is this a problem (performance, ect.) or should I break down the size with a few partitions?

I will be running Windows XP Pro SP2.

Thanks for your input!

Diskeeper currently only supports volumes up to 512 GB in size, so to use this defragmenter your array should not exceed this size.

And the sign says "You got to have a membership card to get inside" Huh
So I got me a pen and paper And I made up my own little sign</pre><p></font color=red>

Thanks for your reply!

Ok... Will defragmenters even work on a raid environment?

I would guess, using a defragmenter on a >300 GB HD would
take 24 hours or so?

Do you see any other limitations using a large partition?
Will many files (= large FAT-Table) slow the system down alot?

Yes, Diskeeper works on raid arrays up to 512 GB in size, and I have been told that their next release will expand this limitation.
