I'm starting with "A" which is a sports DVD and i want to convert to "B" mpeg, avi or flv file and save it onto my PC. [Basically it doesn't matter what file as long as the output video quality is as good as the DVD quality along with smaller MB]

The actual dvd scene/chapter is around 7 minutes in length.

I have the software program [AoA DVD Ripper] to convert DVD files to mpeg, avi or flv. files and i know how to achieve what i want or half what i want.

The only problem i have is i don't know what settings i should choose when i'm converting the DVD files [IFO] to mpeg, avi or flv. files.

I've did some research and it said the higher you set the video bitrate the better the video quality it is, but when i try that the video output was over 200MB which is not what i want.

I just want a good balance setting [video and audio bitrate] that would offer good quality and not make the MB go so high.

Question: Is it best to convert dvd to;
- mpeg 1 or mpeg 2
- avi
- flash file
- WMV
