Okay, about eight years ago, I played some audio commercials on a production company website. The website has since undergone a facelift, but I was able to find the old website on some kind of Internet archive. Now, after all these years, some of the commercials were downloadable and others were not. I was happy with the prospect of being able to hear just a few, though, if not all. So I downloaded Real Player and they won't play, even though that's the program it tells you to use! The Real Player used in 2001 shouldn't have been all that different than the one they have now, or less compatible. So what's going on here? It says 'General Error', but I can't help but wonder if things in the archive just appear to still function but don't? Damnit, I really want to hear those files again! It would bring back so many memories...
