I purchased a Polaroid LCD Flat Screen TV from Circuit City/Chicago in 2006. I also purchased the extended Protection Plan for 3 years. My TV needs servicing now. Who is honoring the plan, if anyone?

I was asking if anyone knew who was taking over the Circuit City Advantage Protection Plan after the business' bankruptcy. I have purchased a 3-year extended protection plan that I need to use, but I have no way of contacting anyone who is honoring this plan that I have purchased in 2006.

Hello,
I purchased 42" LCD in 2008 with the protection plan. I just read all the horror stories of not being able to find anyone to honor the plan since Circuit City went out of business.

After a little bit of research, I found a number (1-800-555-4615) and I called today. In turn after a couple of prompts, I was given a number (1-800-878-1167) which I called at 4:11 p.m and was talking to someone at 4:18 p.m from Assurance Illusions. They just set me up with a repairman that is located in my area and will be here tomorrow between 8 a.m. & 12:00 p.m. They do honor the protection plans.

Just thought I'd share with you..

Thanks for the information. I have a 52" Samsung LCD TV I purchased in September 2008 that just started going on the fritz.. cycling on and off. I googled city advantage protection plan and your thread popped up. I called the 800-878-1167 number and the company is Assurance Solutions and they do indeed honor the extended warrenty I had purchased 2 1/2 years ago. Thanks for posting.
