ok so the battery on my ipod mini has died yes i know but its good for what i need. anyway i bought a new battery and installed it but it still doesn't want to charge up any ideas?

Did you check that the old battery is dead -- if not the iPod may have a fault.

Is the new battery a generic replacement -- friend who bought unbranded battery for an Apple laptop says it's cr*p.
