Need to Sync Palm Desktop Cell Phone -- any good software?

I asked this awhile ago, but maybe since then a better way of doing
this has come about.

Does anyone know of any software that runs on Windows that can sync
between one of any number of cell phones out there (in my case,
Sony-Ericsson) and Palm Desktop database (version 4.1.4)?

The only thing I found that CLAIMS to be able to do this is
XTNDConnect-PC (by Extended Systems), and it appears that it
doesn't understand the new Palm databases.

Any leads out there?

Check out Multisync. It can sync between anything and anything,
literally. You create "sync pairs" between two points, and add them to the
"chain" of syncronization.

This means I can sync my Tungsten T3 with my Nokia 3650, and from
there sync that information to an online calendar via SyncML, and from
there sync that to Evolution and KPilot, and from there do a backup of my
Palm data, and then from there, push that to Palm Desktop over a NetSync.

Works great. Oh, of course, you have to be running a current
operating system like FreeBSD or Linux to get this functionality. Windows
users need not apply.

Google for FunBook.

Personally I used to use FunBook, but since my Palm is the primary source of
contacts, I use ezMaintain to select and beam contacts from my address book to
the phone (a T68i), and just overwrite them if someone changes their number etc.
It's not "syncing" exactly but it works for me.

I thought of using FunBook, but it requires something to be installed
on the Palm itself, which seems odd. Plus, their website is a bit funky,
not engendering a lot of trust on my part.

Well, I've got Slackware on my machine, but work mostly on Windows, just
due to the particular combination of software I like to use. Being a
software developer, I prefer to do THAT kind of work on Linux/Unix, but
everyday stuff is done on Windows, so I may be out of luck, unless I want
to port MultiSync to Windows. I thought Gnome had already been ported to
it.

You want to sync between a phone and a Palm - how are you going to do it
*without* installing something on the Palm? Unless you're talking about going
via a PC which seems a very indirect route.

I only use funBook occasionally but use its sister application funSMS dozens of
times per day and it's rock solid and the best of the Palm SMS apps that I've tried.
