I have a Gigabyte GA-8SG800 running 768meg of PC2100 (3x256 modules)with a P4 2.8. My question is I know the mobo can do 2gig max of PC2700 (or 3gig max of PC2100) but which would be best setup 2 x 512 modules or a 1gig module of PC2700 or go for bigger PC2100 sticks? (it does support some PC3200 memory but not all so PC2700 would be best I think)

Thx in advance for any advice

I'd use PC3200, unless PC2700 is significantly cheaper.

If you have stability problems, you can set PC3200 to PC2700 speed. RAM is rated at the maximum garunteed stable speed, it has no set frequency it has to run at.
