Thought this was a norton (nav) issue initially. When anti-virus scan
is attempted, cannot complete -- computer restarts and recovered from
serious error window appears. If data is sent, then microsoft states
that driver incompatibility is occuring. Reloaded NAV with same results
-- removed and used AVG -- same situation, so not Norton problem.
Occurs if scan done in safe mode of if compressed files not scanned is
checked. Computer is running XP-pro. Realize would be fixed by
formating and reloading -- but would like to not have to go that route
-- perhaps repair install?? Thanks.

So what driver does err msg refer to?
Have you been using Winupdate for Drivers?
If so, bad move, use only hw manu.drivers, suggest you visit your vid
display manu for updated driver
