Hi, I recently received the Samsung 2493HM 24" PC monitor. I have been pretty thrilled so far, good picture quality and great design. However, I have one weird problem that I hope someone can help me solve or at least understand.
I do a simple "print screen" command, e.g. to grab a screenshot from GPU-Z. However, anything white on that screendump appears as "yellowish" when I view the actual .JPG image, for example. Really creeps me out. I didn't have the problem with my previous ASUS monitor.
I have even tried different video cards, currently running a brand-new 9800GTX which works just fine.
"Print Screen" generally captures what the video card is displaying on the screen, not what the screen is actually displaying.
If your brand new 9800GTX is set to true color and you connect it to a monochrome monitor then press "Print Screen", the screenshot will still be in color.
Try rolling back to an older video driver.
