dynamic disk problem

how do i restore my basic disk configuration on my dynamic disk? when i right click on my "disk managemnet" and select restore basic disk configuration, it ask me to insert previously save configuration floppy, but i don't have?

I also boot in recovery console and try to fromat it, but can't success:(

please help me and give me an idea to solve this problem.

*ps: i only have 1 hdd and 1 partition in my PC and this is the boot partition and system partition as well.

You can't convert a dynamic disk back to basic unless you remove all the volumes, first, which means losing all your data unless you do a full system backup.

cool. I always saw that under disk admin, but never bothered to check it out. Kind of reminds me of the fancy Unix file systems HPUX and Digital Unix has to offer. Thank Toe.

yeah, i have follow the step 1-3, but i can't even delete or create partition in following step, so i force to use another win2k to format this hdd and reinstall os and put all my backup in.

damn m$ dynamic disk
