I want to know how to do a system recovery on a dell demension 3000 One place said to put operating systems disc in and restart computer then first screen u see press "r" but that didn't work it still brings everything up like ur logging on please help keri

If you're going to use a disc, you need to change the boot order in the BIOS. Your optical drive has to be before the hard drive in priority.

If you are wanting it just like it came from the factory ? Press ctrl+F11 at boot up. But if you have reformatted the drive you won't be able to use that function.

^ That only works if the drive has a recovery partition.
