i have a pair of z-2300 speakers and a creative x-fi extreme gamer and im trying to figure out what configurration will give me the best audio qualitiy. i can control the colume of windows, my media player and my speakers. from what ive heard turning the windows volume too high can cause distortion and i was wondering if there is any magic numbers i should look for to get the best quality.

75% for Windows, 75% for Control other software control levels and the rest in on the speakers.

Or

75% for players, 50% on speakers and control the rest at master.

If you are using Windows XP set the wave level to 75% on your audio properties.
