Hello all,

I have a Dell M1330 that is not very old, but unfortunately it is over a year so it is out of warranty. The backlight will work when the laptop starts, but will go out about 30min after running. I have tried to close the lid and reopen, but that will not turn the screen back on. The only thing that turns the backlight back on is to restart the laptop. My first impulse is to go out and buy a new inverter, but as I think about it, this might be a software issue. So, is it possible for a corruption in Windows Vista to cause backlight issues? Thanks for everyone's input.
