My grandson was playing the wii and the remote slipped out of his hand and broke the screen can this be fixed?

The panel must be replaced. The cost of the LCD panel and the labor involved will essentially cost the same as if not more than a new LCD TV.

Anyone playing with the Wii should always put the strap around the wrist to lower the chances of such an accident.
