Folding@Home is a LARGE GRID COMPUTING effort. Presently over 1,000,000 computers and over 400,000 people have contributed. Present speed is approximately 200 Teraflops. Completely nonprofit and totally for humanities benefit. Join the team, it's kind of fun. :-D.

__Us->http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/team_overtake.ph...;/A>
Them->http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/team_overtake.ph...;/A>

Seems other people/sites can claim they have great community spirit. Join us and show the world you have too. It's not everyday you're part of the top 100 teams in the world!!! Soon you'll be able to say you are.

Some things your (future) teammates have done:
1- Click here to read "Folding" as explained by "sjonnie".
2-"Spitfire_X86" created this growing list of cpu benchmarks but "ChipDeath" made pretty colors in the graphics forum.

"priyajeet" started a team to do protein folding for humanities benefit and to have this community recognized. We're team 40051 at http://folding.stanford.edu</A> and we could use a little of your help.

Don't know where Jason picked up the idea to fold. If you read this tell me where you found it. I need to gather some marketing data  .

Pretty awesome stuff recently. Like we did almost 400,000 points in Feb. We'r averaging 15k/day. In the last week we did 115,000. "apesoccer" is talking about adding more processors.

Some old folders are back and making nice showings; like Sparky853, CHipDeath, and huh. We have a very very nice collection of "blue" folders. Some nice top end single machines in that crowd. More and more people are getting serious. It's easy to rise up the ranks

Still looking for contest ideas :-).

Fold For Better Beer. If these guys at Stanford would market it right I think they could get lost more computer calculating better ways for yeast to turn starches, sugars, minerals and flavinoids into palatable and aromatic variants of beer. Beer is wonderful!

Ok people looks like well have to settle in for the long haul. Moving up the ranks is going to take days instead of hours. Next team is two days away and it's only going to get worse after that. At the present pace the top 100 is about 180 days away. That means a rank every two days or so; wont be regular either.

We managed to pull an amazing one day record of 23,077 pts; bettering the previous record by more than 5,000 points and by more than 20%. We're pretty close to a weekly record too. Imagine if some people had stuck it out even with one machine folding. We're on our way to our best month...(Feb only had 28 days hehe) and have already passed Januarys production.

Labby and Linus Laurin have started off in high gear. They made the 1,000 point club rather quickly.. Congratulations guys!!!

We have quite a few single machine folders involved. Amoung our most dedicated crowd too. Spitfire_x86 hit 10,000 points this week. Quite an accomplishment and good work.

I'm surprised how well we continue to move up the ranks. Things are still going pretty smooth though we're already taking more time to move up the ranks. Got about 30 days left before we hit rough seas.

We've just recently passed the 1,250,000 point mark. Nice folding there. We've just finished our best week ever @ 114,696 points. We've passed our best month with 4 days to go (Ok Feb was short but we're still doing better this month). We've finally gotten passed the previous levels of active folders; that being another positive sign.

We're starting to get into rough territory. Getting harder to see progress in moving up the ranks. Best way to see how we're doing is to look at our point totals.

I've been a bit busy and have a long day ahead so here is the BLoG for yesterday and today  . Happy Folding People.

Big jump since yesterday. Wonder if it will be our last. We're starting to get into rough territory. Getting harder to see progress in moving up the ranks. Best way to see how we're doing is to look at our point totals.

Not everyday that you can say you were part of the top 100 in the world. If you participate in our/your team you'll be able to tell everyone you were. (Kids will get a big kick). We're not in the top 100 yet ... but we will be. And you never know if this will lead to some large medical break throughs.

Project Rank: 153 (-3) of 37191. We ARE going to make the top 100 teams in the world just stick together.

Another big jump but over almost two days.

Not everyday that you can say you were part of the top 100 in the world. If you participate in our/your team you'll be able to tell everyone you were. (Kids will get a big kick). We're not in the top 100 yet ... but we will be. And you never know if this will lead to some large medical breakthroughs.

!!! Go Team Go !!!

"Molar" has suggest T-Shirts. We've had some interest and lots of people like the idea. If any of you have the inclination you might submit a design. Like the idea of molecules and Toms Logo.

We continue to look for even MORE contest/team ideas :-).

Project Rank: 148 (-3) of 37309. We ARE going to make the top 100 teams in the world just stick together.

Our average has been slipping although we've been adding team members. This is probably due to the molecules available and the points you get for them. Don't despair other teams are getting the same. Also, someone reported spotting those juicy 600 pointers in their queue. Maybe you/we'll get some.

!!! Go Team Go !!!

"Molar" has suggested T-Shirts. We've had some interest and lots of people like the idea. If any of you have the inclination you might submit a design. Like the idea of molecules and Toms Logo.

How about beer "coasters". Anyone have a printer you can do that on? Maybe blank CD's?

We continue to look for even MORE contest/team ideas :-).

Members Changed: +1 Total 108 Welcome aboard "Theo Binney".. may all your folding be fun and productive. If you haven't done so already turning on large molecules if u have a good bit of memory will help you get bigger molecules.

Those juicy 600 pointers should be rolling in soon. I hope it ups our average a bit. I think/hope some people are not reporting because it's taking awhile for the long fold queues to clear

How about beer "coasters" or "keychains". Maybe blank CD's? Special cheesies. Maybe a nice chocolate cake.

We continue to look for even MORE contest/team ideas :-).

Project Rank: 147 (-1) of 37349. We ARE going to make the top 100 teams in the world just stick together.

The team average is starting to go back up. Like mine. Some of those juicy 600 pointers came our way. Last week our average was still over 100,000 points so we're doing ok but things seem to have dropped off a bit here and there. Good new is that pretty soon we'll be hitting 1.5M points; another worthwhile celebration.

We have three contributors over 100k points. That's not bad. 100k is a very nice tarket for the multimachine folders. 20k or 25k is really nice target for the single machine folder. We have over 30 people who are in the top 1% of individual contributors and our team is certainly there too.

Was another good week fellow folders. Can't be bad at all when you do a good turn.
