Novint Falcon 3d gaming device

I just got a Novint Falcon. A very interesting device to say the least. However ... I've encountered a glitch.

I have Half Life 2 installed on the PC and when I run it the normal way it runs just fine. I downloaded the Novint created mod Haptics and followed the directions to the letter. However, when I run the Haptics mod (basically it just plays Half Life 2 with the 3d force feedback support) ... it loads much slower and when the game starts it is getting all of about 5 FPS ... is very choppy and essentially unplayable. Changing the video settings to the minimums had no effect and the system should be more than capable of running the game normally.

I have not gotten much feedback from Novint thus far on this issue though I will continue to work with them on it. In the mean time I justed to see if anyone else out there has possibly run in to this and, if so, how to solve it.
