I had my smaller (26"?) LCD on the patio last weekend when the wind whipped up and blew it over. Now it does not display video, either through the tuner or hooked up as a computer monitor. There is a "Please Wait" message that flashes when the unit is first powered up, just like it did before I dropped it, so I don' think the display is bad. Audio is also fine.

Is this worth fixing, and what is the most likely problem? I'm kind of a DIY'er - I've replaced tuners in tube tv's before, as well as some other electronic projects, but this one is new to me.

Thanks!

Mike

It's quite possible that, while the LCD array remained undamaged, the impact of the fall loosened a connection somewhere inside. And if your LCD is out of warranty anyway, why not just open it up and see what you can fix inside, you DIYer you.
