i have a sony wega rear projection tv. the model is: kdp51ws655. manufactured on 5/2005. the stand by light blinks 10 times. no picture. i hate to junk it. so should i invest to have it fixed, or buy another? thanks.
You can get a new 32" LCD for about $300 which could be cheaper than repairing your old set. If you want to spend the money to fix it, up to you, but I'd say not worth it. Even spending 4-500 on a bigger new LCD screen is better than spending less on fixing the old TV.
Plus your prjection TV uses 260 watts of power, a new LCD TV would be half that.
