Why is my sd card not working

Sounds like maybe it is just not auto launching the interface. You don't provide many specifics but if this is a Windows machine, chances are you can just double click the "My Computer" icon which should open and display all storage media....one of the icons should represent your removable storage device, double clicking on that should show the contents of the card.

If you still have problems be sure to post more info regarding your hardware and software....meaning what model # if it is a HP, Dell, Compaq or similar.....

If it's not broken,maybe it's locked.
