Clock for clock, Intel Core2's will win. And that's in both processing power and battery life. The only thing that AMD/ATI has going for them over Intel is their integrated graphics solution. The HD3200 is far superior to the GMA HD4500.

Well, to be honest we're comparing a 65nm processor vs. a 45nm. the 45nm will ALWAYS have better battery life. In addition, in 95% of games laptops are GPU limited, so the fact that the AMD has a better GPU is a VERY big deal. To be honest, between those twolaptops, if your gaming, the AMD is by far the better laptop. if you're doing spreadsheets or surfing the web while traveling, then the Intel is the better laptop just because it has better battery life. If you're plugged into an outlet the only place where the Intel will be better is if you're using apps that require massive amounts of processing power. (Matlab, etc.) Since very few people use apps like that, it's a comparison between the AMD's superior gaming abilities and Intel's superior battery life.
