Hello Everyone,

I had just purchased a 19" Phillips LCD TV 720p. The TV is nice, but the problem is that i do not have digital cable with a box. I just have regular cable which only uses the coaxial cable that plugs into the tv. My question is can i use a VCR/DVD combo to connect to the tv with component cables to try and make the picture come in more clear? Right now its alright, but only being displayed at 480i. Any suggestions would be great...

Thanks,

AFAIK, since you're still receiving an analog signal, no matter how you try converting the signal through whatever device, you'll still end up with output that doesn't maximize your LCD TV.
